Principle Landscape Designer is Lee Alderman.
Lee is a 4th generation Sarasotan who discovered his passion for horticulture as a young man. This lead him to pursue a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from the University of Florida. While still in college, he started a career in landscaping and began the learning process of blending the Science (horticulture) and Art (design) of landscaping professionally. He has more than 35 years’ experience in the industry and working in Sarasota’s most desired commercial and residential real estate areas. His passion and unique approach to the work has demonstrated to be both a practical and aesthetically pleasing solution to his clients’ needs and their individual set of circumstances.
Lee’s focus is to provide creative landscaping that is tailored to fit the clients’ wishes while delivering low maintenance landscapes that increase the value of their homes and businesses.
Vision
Great design is more than a collection of good ideas. It is the product of a process, that at its heart is comprised of both art and science.
Fundamentally, the medium of Landscaping is dynamic, ever changing, evolving, living and breathing.
We use a combination of three basic techniques.
1) Curvilinear Lines (both in the vertical and horizontal element).
2) Terracing (of plant materials & land shaping).
3) Naturalistic Plant Selection.
A true master of landscape design is intuitively aware of all these elements and adapts their craft to achieve desired affects while insulating the design from structural failure over the life expectancy of the landscape. In short, a great design adds value, defines function, creates beauty and grows better over time.
